Most standard dollhouses would be 12th scale, so you would buy 12th scale furniture/figures. I posted a couple of links to help you – one shows the formula used to find out the scale of a model compared to the real counterpart, the other shows how to match doll size to the house scale, it should still be useful though.
If your doll house is 1:12 scale it means that 1 inch = 1 foot
